We would like to welcome everyone interested in developing and discovering more about trainings in SF to the first targeted international conference in six years!
This is a unique opportunity to:

  • develop yourself as an SF trainer
  • learn more about how SF trainings might be conducted
  • and broaden your repertoire of skills and approaches.

Come together with many of the most experienced trainers in the field for some inspiration and creativity!

Training in SF has been a key way to spread and share this great approach for decades.  Indeed, SF  has been enriched by the variety of teaching methods, formats, models and course designs – all stemming from the fact that unlike many other approaches, there is no single ‘right’ way to do it!  As more and more people seek to go beyond the 2-day workshop, this conference will aim at gather experiences, look at what quality means in SF training, share activities and ideas for how we can enrich and develop our trainings.  We intend to offer a wide range of perspectives including:

  • Exchange of tools
  • Sharing of activities
  • Before, during and after – what goes AROUND an SF training?
  • Trainers’ toolkits
  • What makes trainings successful?
  • Different perspectives on quality
  • Evaluation (and research?) of trainings
  • Pedagogical perspectives
  • Case presentations
  • To be added…

The programme will include plenary sessions as well as workshops and we would like you invite you to send us suggestions for contributions for example:

  • case studies
  • workshops on training topics
  • demonstration of your training tools
  • ideas for plenary sessions

What else?

The conference is open to all – SFCT members and non-members alike.  Part of the aim of SFCT is to develop the quality of SF training, and we want to engage as many people interested in training as possible and collaborate on further developing the state of the art in SF training.
Already we know that some of the most experienced trainers will join: Jenny Clarke, Louis Cauffman,  Kirsten Dierolf , Ben Furman, Kati Hankovszky, Björn Johansson,  Alan Kay ,Mark McKergow, Eva Persson, Peter Röhrig, Peter Szabo
